Running Nutrition: Honey Stinger Gluten Free Waffles


Anyone with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity will tell you that when it comes to finding nutritious running fuel that also happens to be gluten free, the struggle is real. And not only that, but to find something that is nutritious, gluten free, AND delicious? Chances are slim to none. Better settle with 2 out of 3.

Which brings us to some very delicious, nutritious news for all you gluten free runners out there! Honey Stinger has done it. They took their iconic waffle and made a certified gluten free version – the Honey Stinger Gluten Free Waffle – so that you, too, may partake of that Honey Stinger Waffle deliciousness that you’ve longed for. And according to everyone who has tested this product here at Running Warehouse, we can heartily tell you that in creating this gluten free option, they sacrificed nothing with regards to taste.

Another plus? Less crumble. That’s right, you heard me. One problem with the OG Honey Stinger Waffle is that annoying, messy crumble. We’re talking Nature Valley status, here. You couldn’t open the package without crumbs falling out, or breaking the waffle into bits. Not a huge deal when you’re out on the trail running your heart out and demolishing the crumbs before they can even fall out of the package, but it’s an annoyance nevertheless. For whatever reason, the Honey Stinger Gluten Free Waffle fixed this issue, much to the delight of Honey Stinger desk-eaters everywhere (no shame).
