Saucony Mirage 3 Women's Running Shoe

So you want to run in a more stripped down shoe, but you need a bit of pronation support. Saucony has you covered in the Mirage series, launching its 3rd version in 2013. The 4mm heel-to-toe offset remains, but the package gets a top-to-bottom redesign focused on decreasing weight and adding flexibility. The Mirage 3 joins the Saucony Natural Series, which includes the award-winning Kinvara 3 and upcoming zero-drop Virrata.

What to Watch For

• Lighter Weight: Both Men’s and Women’s versions are expected to come in about an ounce lighter than the Mirage 2. Published weights from Saucony are 8.7 oz for a Men’s size 9 and 7.5 oz for a Women’s size 8.
• FlexFilm Upper: The redesigned upper get the FlexFilm overlays first introduced in the Kinvara.
• New Platform: The Mirage 3 now has a beveled heel like the Kinvara to encourage a midfoot strike pattern, and an added flex groove in the forefoot along with deeper flex grooves overall for improved responsiveness.
