The Garmin Fit app uses the iPhone’s built-in GPS technology to track speed/pace, distance and elevation when in-range of your phone network. When you finish a workout, just review your run summary and the Garmin Fit app will automatically upload data to Garmin Connect online. How’d This Magic Happen?

You might be wondering why it took so long to sync up the iPhone and Garmin products. While most smartphones utilize Bluetooth wireless technology, many electronic sports devices use a different low-power wireless technology called ANT+ to connect with accessories like heart rate monitors. Compatibility

The Garmin ANT+ Adapter is compatible with iPhone 4S, 4 and 3GS, iPod touch and iPad. The Garmin Fit app requires these devices are running iOS4 firmware or later. With such simple compatibility and an easy-to-use interface, we expect the new adapter and app to be pretty popular with gadget gurus and everyday runners alike.
