July 17, 2015 is World Emoji Day (#WorldEmojiDay) and we are paying our homage to the wonderful world of emojis. You make the simple tasks of texting and emailing much more efficient (and dare I say more fun?).
When you’re a runner, sometimes you need to shoot off a quick text without taking the time to type out a full text message. Ain’t nobody got time for that! I mean, I’m on a run, man. I can’t be bothered to type something out!
So, for the times when you need to convey a message in emojis while on the run… Here is a translation of common emojis and what they mean for runners.
Running guy = “I’m on a run right now.” Side note: we wish there was a running lady too. Maybe next update?
Running shoe = “Gotta get some new trainers from Running Warehouse.”
Sweat droplets = “I’m sweating a lot. Good thing my running outfit is moisture-wicking.”
Person bowing = “Gotta do my planks now. A strong core will help me run my best!”
Flexing arm = “Feeling strong today! Gonna kill my workout.”
Unamused face = “I hate rest day.”
Mad face = “I should have worn sunscreen.”
Poop = “Unexpected pit-stop mid-run…”
Smiling face with sunglasses = “Wearing my new shades on my run to keep my eyes protected.”
Silly face = “That runner’s high, though…”
Happy face = “Just killed my run. Feeling uh-maze-ing.”
Which emojis would you add to our list?
