A versatile, durable trail shoe, the Peregrine series is lighter than traditional trail models, with a protective upper, flexible midsole, and grippy lugs. The Peregrine 3 introduces a new upper only, meaning that the platform with its cushioned midsole and protective rock plate remains unchanged.

What to Watch For
- Fresh Upper: FlexFilm overlays for lightweight structure are added to the redesigned upper, which also benefits from a molded toe cap and gilly lacing system.
- Same Platform: No changes will be made to the midsole/outsole with this update. It remains trail-tough thanks to the External Bedrock Outsole and high-traction rubber.

Any idea about the weight of the Peregrine 3?
Saucony says 9.9 oz for Men’s size 9.0, just a few tenths of an ounce lighter than the current model.

What will be the major differences between this shoe and the Kinvara TR? They seem like the same shoe.
Good question. The Kinvara TR will be considerably lower and lighter than the Peregrine 3. Specs for the Kinvara TR include stack heights of 17/13 and a weight of 7.9 oz (Men’s 9). That compares to 22/18 and a weight of 9.9 oz (Men’s 9) for the Peregrine 3.
