Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 Sneak Peek

Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 Men's Shoe

For runners looking to get noticed, there have been few shoes visually louder than the Asics Gel Noosa Tri. This supportive performance trainer is set for an update in early 2014, and the 9th version looks to be just as wild as ever.

Aesthetics aside, don’t expect any huge alterations here – just a minor upper change that should make for a more comfortable running experience.

What to Watch For

  • Seamless Upper: For the first time, the Noosa Tri features a seamless upper construction, reducing hotspots and irritations especially when going sockless.
  • Carryover Platform: No changes to the midsole or outsole in this update, so expect an underfoot feel identical to that of the Noosa Tri 8.
  • Glow in the Dark Print: Glow-in-the-dark is back! Need we say more? Make sure you charge up the luminescent coating before you head out in the dark for maximum effect.

    Just as hideous as ever…

  • Mateus Frota

Hi, i’ve tried my new Asics Noosa Tri 8 yesterday on a light run (40 minutes, 5:30 min/km). After half an hour running i start to feel some pain on my right heel. When i finished running and i got my shoes off, there was a blister filled of blood. When i woke up this morning it was looking like there was a grape on my heel. Have you ever heard of anyone else who suffered the same with these shoes?

  • Matt

We have not heard of blistering in the heel being common in this shoe. You may want to try a different lacing technique to tighten down the heel so you’re not slipping around as much.
