Having seen significant success in the cycling world, Osmo is starting to gain traction amongst us runners as well. Created by Dr. Stacy Sims, Msc, PhD, a renowned nutritionist and exercise physiologist, Osmo is based on the latest and greatest in scientific research, designed to deliver the most effective hydration and recovery products available.
Three Types of Osmo Goodness.
Osmo is available in three forms to meet your nutritional needs before, during, and after your run:
- Preload Hydration: Drink before workouts in the heat, especially intense efforts, or long runs to optimize your total body water levels, reducing fatigue and maintaining anaerobic performance.
- Active Hydration: Drink during your run to remain hydrated through the duration of your workout, reducing cramping and optimizing power output.
- Acute Recovery: Drink immediately following your run in order to speed up the recovery process and to get you ready for your next workout.
Of course, all varieties are made using only high quality natural ingredients, so you don’t have to worry about downing anything artificially created in some lab.
Male & Female Specific Nutrition: Women are not small men.
A huge differentiator for Osmo is their availability of Men’s and Women’s specific hydration and recovery products. Osmo understands the differences in male and female physiology, and that a ‘one size fits all’ approach might not be ideal in delivering an optimized nutrition product for both men and women.
