The dark times are coming. Soon all will be cast into the shadows of winter, and we will don our reflective gear for each and every run. It’s a small price to pay for safety, though, and accessories like running safety lights add plenty of visibility without a lot of weight.

Most runners who already use safety lights choose to clip them to their waists or collars. But, did you know that there are other, more effective places to wear them? Placing a light in an area that moves draws more visual attention and increases the likelihood that an onlooker will notice you. There can be an increase in the amount of bounce created, but like the tradeoff of wearing reflective gear versus not doing so, maximizing safety is our priority. And there’s no need to stop with just one location. You can wear as many lights as your heart desires.
