Created with direct input and testing by the elite athletes on Reebok’s Zap Fitness Team, the Reebok Floatride Run Fast Pro aims to be one of the lightest and fastest racing flats on the market. Designers made extensive efforts to maximize performance while giving special attention to many racers’ number one priority: being as light as possible.

Midsole

The midsole is constructed using a thin layer of FloatRide foam, which is designed to be both ultra light and highly responsive. For this shoe, designers used just enough of the foam to provide cushioning for shorter races on the road while delivering a snappy underfoot ride.

Outsole

To further minimize weight without sacrificing performance, the outsole of the shoe is composed of individual TPU mini-lugs that are injected into, but not through, the midsole of the shoe. These lugs should create performance traction for road racing as well as enough durability to handle approximately 100 miles of racing.

Upper

Reebok’s designers wanted to create an upper that can be worn comfortably with or without a sock, and the single-piece engineered mesh should do just that. It is also highly breathable due to extensive perforations on all sides, and the velvety-feeling tongue should allow the laces to hold tightly without creating any blisters or discomfort.
