After a 6-month hiatus, the Hierro will come back in 2017 with a bold and fresh update. The Hierro v2 will no longer be just a “Boracay with lugs”, but will now be an option for the serious trail runner. A fully revamped design offers enhanced features and should increase cushioning, protection, and traction.
One of the biggest changes to the 2nd version will be the use of a tough Vibram Mega-Grip outsole. The new lug placement is now spread farther apart and deeper. The new design should provide far better traction on loose terrain, while remaining runable on hard trails. The Vibram compound is ultra durable and we expect it to offer a stickier feel suitable for a variety of trails.
The Hierro v2 also features a newly designed fresh foam midsole. The finely tuned sidewall hexagon geometry has been dialed in to offer a more compliance. The new geometry is combined with an additional 2mm of overall stack height and should offer a more cushioned, protective experience.
To save on weight and provide a more irritant-free wrap of the foot, the Hierro v2 utilizes a new 3D resin printed upper. Fantom Fit technology offers a no-sew wrap and a toe protect design provides added protection from rocks and debris.
