For 2017, New Balance has revamped most of their running shoe line-up with new Fuel Cell technology. The New Balance 1260 v7 is no exception. With a completely updated construction, this shoe should offer solid improvements over its predecessor.
Now with Fuel Cell added into the midsole, the 1260 v7 will continue to offer plush cushioning but with a slightly more responsive underfoot. A medial posting construction will reduce the rate of overpronation to offer users maximum support on daily training runs.
On the outsole, the removal of the T-Beam shank combined with redesigned outsole geometry should give the 1260 v7 a smoother ride without sacrificing durability or traction. Compared to the v6, the v7’s upper construction is noticeably different. The shoe removes unnecessary overlays in favor of a softer, air mesh upper with minimal seam construction.
