The MIzuno Inspire series has been around for years and has remained a go-to moderate support trainer for runners who prefer a firmer ride. While the Inspire 10 and 11 remained one of the lightest moderate support shoes on the market, version 12 received a major update which enhanced cushioning and comfort while also gaining some additional weight. With the Inspire 13, we see a similar design to version 12 but with material updates in the midsole and upper, we expect this version to provide a softer underfoot experience with improved breathability.
The Inspire 13 continues to utilize a double fan wave design to reduce overprontation and provide the same reliable support seen in version 12. While the shoe’s stack height remains the same, the addition of a new u4icx heel wedge offers a softer underfoot feel at heel strike and a redesigned top midsole made of a new u4ic compound should offer greater durability with increased responsiveness.
For an improved on-foot experience, the Inspire 13 utilizes a new mesh design that delivers enhanced breathability and flexibility. The near seamless design paired with a softer heel collar should further increase comfort.
