For 2017, Mizuno is improving their U4ic midsole foam. It is purported to be 10% lighter than the current U4ic foam while improving durability and responsiveness. Additionally, Mizuno is introducing a new support shoe and is adding a trail shoe currently only offered in Europe and Asia. Below is a quick preview of key models for next year. More details to come, on each specific model, in future postings.


Mizuno Wave Rider 20: Too many changes to list here, but the result will lead to a softer ride.


Mizuno Wave Inspire 13: Gets a new upper and a slightly softer underfoot feel.


Mizuno Wave Horizon: A new support shoe set to compete with the ASICS Kayano and Saucony Hurricane.


Mizuno Wave Catalyst 2: More of the same with a new upper.


Mizuno Wave Hitogami 4: Subtle changes to the upper with a new look and improved U4ic midsole.


Mizuno Wave Daichi 2: An update to the long distance trail shoe currently available in Europe and Asia.


Mizuno Wave Hayate 3: Adds a Michelin rubber outsole, an ESS Rock Plate, and gets a new upper.
