Year after year the Ravenna series has provided runners with a moderately supportive trainer built to handle daily mileage. The shoe has seen many small updates over the years, but with the introduction of the Ravenna 9, we see a completely new design that should help revamp the line. Now with a more performance oriented design that is similar to the Launch series, the Ravenna 9 should offer a mild stablity option that delivers a fast and versatile running experience.
To help create a more responsive underfoot sensation, the Ravenna 9 offers an adaptive BioMoGo DNA midsole that resembles the Launch. But with the addition of a diagonal rollbar, the shoe also offers a hint of stability to help reduce overpronation.
On the outsole, we see durable rubber as well as a midfoot transition zone that should help deliver a smooth ride from impact to toe off. Finished off with a seamless mesh upper, the shoe looks to provide a soft wrap with fantastic breathability.
Weighing in at 9.3 ounces for men and 8.2 ounces for women, the sleeker design of the Ravenna 9 strips off about an ounce from its predecessor.
