Available January 2016 – MSRP $100.00
The Brooks PureFlow 6 gets a $10 price drop and will address two issues with current PureFlow 5: weight and fit.
When Brooks came out with the 5th version of the PureFlow, they introduced a new midsole material, DNA LT. The LT stands for light or light weight and is reported to be 10% lighter than regular DNA. Yet, the PureFlow 5 came in 0.3oz heavier than its predecessor. Version 6 gets an all new lighter upper and returns to the weight of version 4.
The upper of version 5 not only added weight, it also changed the fit. While fit is an individual preference, some shoes have a more universal fit than others. Many have said version 5 is too narrow and the tongue is too stiff. They prefer the fit of version 4. If you are one those people, then you will be pleased to hear Brooks is claiming that the fit of version 6 should be quite similar to version 4.
The rest of the PureFlow 6 remains the same. It uses the same midsole and outsole as version 5, so the ride will remain the same.
