Thanks to Hypebeast, all of us can view a video of how the adidas Ultra Boost is assembled. While we wish we could see how the Boost midsole is made, the video does show how the Primeknit upper is constructed and how the shoe is pieced together. If you have never seen how a shoe is assembled, the above video is worth a view.
For those not in the know, the adidas Ultra Boost is the first adidas shoe to have the entire midsole composed of Boost material. Boost is a cushioning compound composed of TPU pellets, which delivers a soft yet responsive ride. Since this shoe will have a 100% Boost midsole, it will be softer than other adidas Boost shoes and thanks to the outsole construction, the shoe will be extremely flexible.
Adidas is promoting the Ultra Boost as the greatest running shoe ever. While the slogan is good advertising, the greatest running shoe is the one you, the individual, likes best. That being said, this latest offering from adidas continues their resurgence in running and we are excited to check it out. The Ultra Boost is scheduled to launch February 25, 2015 with an MSRP of $180.
Can’t get enough hype about the Ultra Boost? All of the technology found in the shoe can be seen in the video below.
