Thanks for the question. A couple zero drop options with additional underfoot cushioning are the <a href="http://www.runningwarehouse.com/searchresults.html?search=products&type=men&searchtext=virrata" rel="nofollow">Saucony Virrata</a> and the <a href="http://www.runningwarehouse.com/descpageMRS-ALTORM.html" rel="nofollow">Altra Torin</a>.

I really like the Levitas but want a shoe with a little bit more protection for longer runs. Which would you recommend? I'd like to stay with a zero drop shoe.

Thanks in advance.

I've been using the fell cross for 2 years now and it is certainly the best quality mountain/fell shoe I've used. I would say the best way to improve it would be a bigger more agressive stud so I'm looking forward to try it.

We haven't heard of durability issues in general with the 33 line or with this shoe in particular. In our experience, the Speva midsole material is very resilient and holds up well for many miles. The Lyte33 2 has a more durable outsole compared to most of its competitors, thanks the the high-abrasion AHAR rubber in the heel and blown rubber covering most ground contact points. Other shoes in this class have only smaller sections of outsole rubber to save weight.

We have not seen any other colorways of the Ghost 6. The earliest there will be additional color options is for the Spring '14 season.

Love the current Ride 5 and it sure does sound and look the small tweaks will only make it slightly better! Lightweight, breathable and nicely cushioned overall. Superb even for most races...

I may give the new A6 Gel Lyte 2 a shot soon. My only concern might be with the softer midsole will durability be an issue? I would like to think I could still get, at least, 300 miles on a pair and if not are these worth the investment to use almost exclusively as a racing shoe? I have heard from many local runners that some of the Asics 33 series shoes do not have great durability with their known softer midsoles and many have mentioned just 200 miles as the norm?

I agree on it being hard to get the product out of the package due to the small opening. This is my only complaint.

I love my Brooks shoes, but I wish they came in more fun colors. They did the Ghost 5 in Yellow and the guidance/stability shoes have more options. Do you know if they will come out with anything that isn't a base color of grey or white? Look at some of the colors the Asics Nimbus come in for example.
