Saucony Triumph 10 Sneak Peek

Saucony Triumph 10 Women's Running Shoe

Saucony Triumph 10 Men's Running Shoe

Saucony made some big changes when they introduced the Triumph 9, and the Triumph 10 is more of an evolution than a groundbreaking new model. It stays plenty light for the features it offers, and retains the 8mm offset introduced on the Triumph 9. PowerGrid cushioning also remains for maximum shock absorption.

Launch Date
November 2012

MSRP
$130.00

Saucony Hurricane 15 Sneak Peek

May 31st, 2012

Saucony Hurricane 15 Men's Running Shoe

Not a whole lot of functional changes are in store for the Hurricane 15, which is a good thing for the many runners who have discovered what a dynamic, runnable shoe the latest Hurricane is. The midsole and outsole – which we loved in the Hurricane 14 – carry over in this latest version, with a new upper that packs a lot of plush without adding weight.

Launch Date
February 2013

MSRP
$140.00

What to Watch For

  • New Upper: The new upper design features a more supportive heel counter, along with upgraded collar padding.
  • Same Platform: The Hurricane 15 carries over the midsole and outsole from the Hurricane 14.
  • Weight Unchanged: Published weights for the Hurricane 15 are unchanged from the Hurricane 14.

Saucony Guide 6 Sneak Peek

May 31st, 2012

Saucony Guide 6 Men's Running Shoe

After the Guide 5 dropped to an 8mm offset and lost about 2.0 oz, Saucony is going easy on the updates for the Guide 6. Still, it looks plenty fresh and is packed with the latest running shoe technology. We expect the Guide series to remain a big seller for the brand.

$110.00

What to Watch For

  • Deeper Flex Grooves: Deeper cuts in the forefoot of the Guide 6’s platform help to improve flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Redesigned Crash Pad: Three independent pods in the crash pad create a smooth transition from heel to midfoot.
  • Midfoot Saddle: The redesigned upper sports additional midfoot overlays to promote a snug, secure fit.

Brooks Pure Project Spring ’13 Sneak Peek

May 30th, 2012

Change is a-comin’ to the Brooks Pure line, launching updated versions in January 2013. All the current Pure shoes – the Connect, Flow, Cadence and Grit – receive new upper designs, and the Grit also gets a new outsole. This means that if you liked the feel of the platform in your original Pure shoe, you should feel right at home in the new models.

The biggest news is the addition of a fifth Pure model – the PureDrift. The Drift is all about maximizing ground feel, and even though it comes with a 4mm heel-to-toe drop like all the other Pure shoes, its sockliner is removable and once removed brings the Drift down to a 0mm offset.

Check the pics above for more info on each model and tell us what you think of the new designs!

Brooks PureDrift Sneak Peek

May 30th, 2012

The PureDrift is an entirely new shoe to the PureProject line. It’s lowest to the ground and lightest, with Men’s designed to weigh 5.6 oz (size 9) and Women’s 5.1 oz (size 8). A removable sockliner drops the shoe from its standard 4mm offset to a 0mm offset, giving just a bit of padding between your foot and the ground. MSRP will be $100.00.

Merrell Mix Master Glide Women's Running Shoes

Women who are into trail running have an exciting new shoe to consider from Merrell this summer. The Mix Master Glide is the Women’s version of the road/trail hybrid Mix Master 2 shoe. It features very subtle design changes compared to the Men’s Merrell Mix Master 2, but is functionally identical.

MSRP

What to Watch For

  • Hybrid Use: Sticky rubber, a lugged sole, an expansive toe bumper and closed mesh makes the Mix Master Glide trail-ready, but it’s also ready to “mix” up your runs with some asphalt action thanks to its cushioning tech.
  • Lightweight Cushioning: An air-cushioned heel, shock absorption plate in the forefoot, and low-profile EVA midsole make the Mix Master Glide comfortable but keep things nimble.
