A boatload of hot, new road flats have arrived into the warehouse. Get ready to fly this Spring racing season with these great new offerings from adidas, Asics, Brooks, Mizuno and Nike.
Mizuno footwear updates for Fall ’10 follows the time proven formula of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and in keeping with the conservative fiscal climate we’re in, the introductions for next summer maintain Mizuno’s cautious, evolutionary approach. Mizuno shoes have an extremely loyal following which explains how the brand continues to sell a significant number of shoes with very little advertising. A Mizuno customer knows what to expect from a Mizuno shoe and that the ride and fit stays very consistent from year to year. Messing with either makes zero sense for this company. It’s a word of mouth brand that must maintain the characteristics that make a Mizuno shoe uniquely Mizuno.
We at Running Warehouse are always looking for ways to be motivated to keep running every day.
We recently joined up with the folks at Plus 3 Network who do an unusual thing – they turn every run, every day, all year long, into a charity run. That’s right, every run you log on their site raises money for a Charitable Cause. How do they do this, you might ask. Well that’s where we come in.
Logging your runs can be as easy as filling out web form on the website, or uploading from Garmin Forerunner, or even using their Free iPhone app, Plus 3 Mobile, available for download from the Apple store (click here for download).
We believe in supporting the community, and while we often make donations to various non profits, we have never involved YOU, our customers, in the process. Until now. With Plus 3 we make the donation based on YOU. For every mile YOU log a run, Running Warehouse will pay the City of San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department up to $0.21 a mile. You can learn more on the rates and the other sports (like walking, tennis, biking, skating) that we pay here on the Plus 3 site, but it’s
· a pretty cool way for US to donate money,
· a pretty cool way for YOU to move money for Good via your fitness, and
· a pretty cool way for the San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department to get funds that they turn into more programs and facilities that let people be active.
It’s all free to you. You may even find it fun, checking out the leader boards, seeing how your exercise raises money, and you can even get discounts and earn prizes on the Plus 3 site.
